Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer with a background in reinforced concrete detailing and a focus on water or fabrication engineering. This role is focused on managing a key project from inception, driving it forward, and ensuring its successful completion. While the detailing aspects are expected to be outsourced to external consultants, your role will be central to project management, leading the process and ensuring high-quality design execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the civil engineering design process for a major project, with a focus on reinforced concrete detailing and water-related elements.
- Collaborate with external consultants for detailed design and ensure the project's timeline and quality standards are met.
- Manage the project, pushing it forward to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Act as a key point of contact between internal teams and external consultants, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the project team and external consultants.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in civil engineering design, particularly in reinforced concrete detailing.
- Experience in the water sector or fabrication is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to push a project forward independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external consultants and internal teams.
- Outside IR35 working on a single project, 6-month contract.
- A strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and a track record of successfully managing design projects.
